Privacy policy

When you use MyProGPT, we store:

• Account details — your email address and a securely hashed password, managed by our authentication provider.
• Onboarding answers— the questions you answer when setting up a buddy. These shape how your buddy talks to you; that's their only purpose.
• Conversations — the messages you and your buddy exchange, so your chat history is there when you come back.
• Memory and artifacts— the things your buddy remembers about you, and documents like the Companion's journal. These exist so your buddy can know you over time; they belong to you.
• Usage metering— technical measurements of how much AI processing your messages use, so we can apply each plan's fair-usage allowance.
• Billing records — your subscription status and billing period. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.

Everything above exists to run the service: personalizing your buddy, keeping your history and memory intact, charging the subscription you chose, and helping you when something goes wrong. We don't sell your data, we don't share it with advertisers, and we don't use your conversations for anything other than your own experience.

We don't read your conversations. The exceptions are narrow: if you ask us to investigate a problem with your account, or if the law requires it.

Your buddy's replies are generated by OpenAI's models. To produce a reply, your message — together with relevant context like your onboarding answers, your buddy's memory, and recent conversation — is sent to OpenAI's API for processing. Under OpenAI's API data policies, content sent this way is not used to train their models.

We use a small number of service providers to run MyProGPT, each receiving only what their job requires:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
• OpenAI— generating your buddy's responses.
• Stripe — payment processing.

We use only the essential cookies needed to keep you signed in. There are no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers.

Your data is kept for as long as your account exists, so your buddy still knows you when you come back. If you delete your account or ask us to erase your data, we delete it — conversations, memory, journal, onboarding answers, all of it. Billing records may be retained where required for accounting.

You can ask us at any time to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, export it, or delete it entirely. Email [email protected] from your account email and we'll take care of it.

MyProGPT is for adults. You must be at least 18 to use the service.

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and let you know in the app. We won't quietly reduce your rights.
